How to transfer your test out credits
Achieve Test Prep is just one stop on your educational journey. We want to make sure you’re set up for success, wherever you go next. Our team will be with you every step of the way – from researching your college’s CLEP credit and DSST credit policies, to registering for exams, to making sure your scores get to the administrative office of your choice college.
Credit by exam policies vary
More than 2,900 colleges and universities in the U.S. grant credit for CLEP or DSST exams, but each school has its own policy describing exactly what credit they grant. Below are some of the schools that Achieve has worked closely with, or you can search your choice school’s policies here.
The college credit transfer process
We’ll research your college's CLEP and DSST policies with you and help you maximize your credit by exam test-out options before you register for an Achieve online test prep course.
Achieve’s online test prep courses can help increase your confidence and ensure you’re ready to pass your exam. Each online test prep course meets once per week with live instructors who cover exactly what you need to know to prepare for your CLEP or DSST exam.
After you complete your online test prep course, you’ll need to register for the CLEP or DSST exam. Schedule the exam online through Achieve’s prep portal or at a testing center near you. Plus, Achieve covers the cost of your exam fees.*
Following the completion of the exam, you will receive a score. Provide a copy of your score to both Achieve and your selected college. A passing score for CLEP or DSST is required to earn eligible, transferable college credit.
