What does Achieve Test Prep do?

Achieve Test Prep is a college prep service provider that offers a variety of support services for adults looking to go back to school. We specialize in helping nurses and healthcare professionals pursue higher education through our RN Bridge Program. This nursing program “bridges the gaps” in traditional education by providing solutions that save time and minimize stress.

We help CNAs, LPNs, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals take advantage of a system called credit by exam. This system allows students to bypass sitting through an entire college course by testing out with a proficiency test. Testing out of prerequisite courses saves time and allows students to make accelerated degree progress.

How does Achieve Test Prep work?

The Achieve Test Prep RN Program is 100% online. Courses meet once a week for 3-hour lessons, with day, night, and weekend availability. These courses run between 5-10 weeks, depending on the subject, which is a significant time savings over 16-week semesters.

Test prep courses come with:

With Achieve, students focus only on what they need to know to pass their exam.

Test prep courses are taught by live instructors who are subject matter experts in their field. Many also have nursing or healthcare-related experience. Synchronous online learning allows students to ask questions and get answers in real time. Unlike pre-recorded programs that require students to self regulate and work through material on their own, our live format fosters accountability and motivation since you aren’t learning alone.

At the end of each test prep course, students register for an exam to earn their credits. After successfully passing the exam, credits are then transferred to the student’s accredited school of choice.

While a majority of Achieve’s test prep courses focus on nursing prerequisites, there are also courses to help students pass their nursing licensure exam: the NCLEX.

What is credit by exam?

You'll need to study before nursing school begins, and credit by exam is a great way to help you prepare.

Credit by exam allows you to test out of nursing prerequisites and some general education college courses like English, Sociology, or Math. What does this mean? You no longer have to earn college credits the traditional way. With credit by exam, you can get full credit for the same course by attending as few as five Achieve Test Prep courses and taking just one exam.

With prerequisites out of the way, you can start completing your nursing program's core requirements for your degree earlier, which means you can graduate sooner.

Credit by exam (also known as CLEP) has been trusted for decades by accredited colleges and universities nationwide. In fact, CLEP is accepted by 2,900 accredited higher learning institutions.

Should I do test prep?

While credit by exam has been around for decades, studying for the exams on your own can be pretty tricky. If you’ve ever started a traditional online program on your own, you may already be familiar with some of the challenges associated with self-guided learning.
