Michael’s mom was a CNA so he knew from a very young age that he wanted to be involved in healthcare. He became an LPN and worked in that role for 18 years before deciding he wanted to change his life. “I was really motivated to complete the program as quickly as I could, I was able to knock out all the course work in less than one year.

They actually allowed me to take more than one [test prep] course at a time after I proved I could do it. With RN in Hand – Management Came Calling
“ I was working toward my Masters in healthcare Administration – but as an LPN I needed to earn my ASN and become an RN so I could manage other LPNs and RNs,” Michael said. With his RN and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration, Michael earned a hefty pay raise and a new role overseeing RNs for Case Management for a large national Health Care company.
